Homeowners Coverage offered by WE Insure Top-Rated Carriers:
- Dwelling Coverage
Covers the building and permanently attached structures such as pools and fences. Coverage is up to the state limit.
- Personal Property Coverage
Covers contents of the home. Such as TVs, clothing, furniture, etc. Standard for is ACV (actual cash value) at the time of the loss. Coverage limit is usually between 25% and 75% of Dwelling Coverage with 50% being the norm.
- Personal Liability Coverage
Covers injuries to someone or damages to someone else’s property for which you are liable.
- Medical Payments Coverage
Covers medical injuries that occur on your property that are not intentional to someone else.
- Other Structures Coverage
Covers detached structures such as sheds, pool houses and garages. Coverage limits start at 2% or 10% of the amount of your policy’s Dwelling Coverage.
- Loss of Use Coverage
Covers expenses of hotels, food, and other qualified expenses incurred due to the home being unlivable because of a covered loss.
- Personal Property Replacement Cost
Covers the amount needed to replace or repair a covered item at the time of the loss regardless of the ACV (actual cash value).
- Additional Home Insurance Coverages
Catastrophic Ground Collapse:
Coverage requires all of the following:
- Geological activity that results in the abrupt collapse of the ground cover
- A depression in the ground cover clearly visible to the naked eye
- Structural damage to the building, including the foundation
- The insured structure being condemned and ordered to be vacated by the governmental agency
- Cannot be merely damage caused by settling or cracking of a foundation, structure or building
Wind Coverage and Deductible:
Coverage for a loss by wind or hail. Commonly coverage for tropical storms or hurricanes. Carries a separate deductible from the flat AOP (all other perils) deductible and is usually a percentage of Dwelling Coverage. Normal limits range from 2% to 10%.
Increased Limits on Others Structures:
Coverage for detached structures that exceed the coverage amount maximum allowed by increasing Others Structures Coverage. Most carriers allow up to 20% of Dwelling Coverage. This would cover the difference between the Others Structures Coverage limit and the ACV (actual cash value) of the structure.
A special form of coverage for earth movement referring to the sudden collapse or sinking of land into empty underground spaces.
Limited Mold/Fungi, Wet or Dry Rot:
Coverage allows the increase of the internal maximum limit that the policy will pay for mold, fungi, wet or dry rot. This includes the removal, tearing out or replacing of the material to gain access to and testing of air or property.
Deductible AOP (all other perils):
This is the set amount applied to all covered losses other than hurricane losses. Usually in limits of $500, $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000.
Law and Ordinance Coverage:
Coverage for the additional costs for repairing or replacing damage to home by a covered peril required to meet new or updated building codes, laws or regulations.
Jewelry and Furs:
Coverage allows for the increase of the internal maximum limit that the policy will pay for loss of jewelry, watches, furs, precious and semiprecious stones.
Silverware, Goldware and Pewterware:
Coverage allows the increase of the internal maximum limit that the policy will pay for silverware, silver-plated ware, goldware, gold-plated ware, hollowware, tea sets, trays, trophies and other utilitarian items made of silver, gold or pewter.
Coverage allows the increase of the internal maximum limit that the policy will pay for cash, coins, and similar items, such as gold bars (other than goldware) and silver (other than silverware).
Scheduled Personal Property:
Special coverage for specific items where the individual value exceeds the maximum limits of the policy such as jewelry, watches, furs, cameras, art, golfer’s equipment, and other valuable items or where the need to have individual coverage for these items is desired. Coverage is usually written as all-risk and all-world coverage.
Special Computer Coverage:
This coverage expands the coverages specifically for computers due to direct physical loss. Can change the policy form from Named Peril to All-Risk, including off-premises.
Credit Card Fraud/Forgery:
Coverage applies to loss or theft of items covered by the policy or covered items used without permission, including forging of a check, draft, promissory note, credit cards, or similar items.
Extended Replacement Cost on Dwelling:
Covers the repair or replacement of the dwelling under a covered loss up to 125% of the Dwelling Coverage limit.
Golf Cart Liability:
Coverage covers injuries to someone or damages to someone else’s property for which you are liable while using your golf cart.
Golf Cart Physical Damage:
Covers the accidental physical damage to the golf cart due to a covered peril.
Loss Assessment Coverage:
Provides coverage to the homeowners association for loss assessed to common property of the community or areas for which your association is responsible.
Water Sewage Backup and Sump Overflow:
Adds back coverage with an internal maximum limit for repair and cleanup due to water sewage backup or sump overflow. This coverage is not a flood coverage, which requires a separate policy.
Covers the costs related to restoring your identity and good name due to an identity theft including legal fees, loan reapplication fees, notary expense and lost wages due to time taken from work.
This coverage allows you to purchase back coverage for your screened enclosure due to a hurricane loss. Will have a stated amount or a maximum limit and could cover only the framing, not the screen.
Personal Injury Liability:
Coverage expands Liability Coverage to include personal injuries such as wrongful arrest, wrongful eviction or entry, invasion, violation of privacy, slander and defamation for which you are legally liable.
Allows the buy-back of liability coverage to protect the legal costs for your animal/dog that injures another person or animal.
Seasonal and Secondary:
This endorsement is applied when the home is left unoccupied for more than 3 consecutive months or is a vacation home used regularly.
Covers a person, company or trust other than the named insured under terms of the policy.
Covers mechanical breakdown, electrical breakdown and power surge to all real property. Such as air conditioners, water heaters, dishwashers, refrigerators, washers, dryers, computers, televisions, and other covered equipment.
